Life Without Education on the Streets
A child living on the streets of Uganda faces unimaginable challenges. Instead of holding books, they struggle to find food. Instead of sitting in classrooms, they sleep in unsafe places. Without education, these children remain trapped in a cycle of survival, vulnerability, and hopelessness.
Many street children:
- Have never attended school
- Dropped out due to lack of fees or uniforms
- Cannot read or write
- Are exposed to abuse, drugs, and exploitation
Without intervention, the streets become their future.
Education Restores Hope and Dignity
Education does more than teach children how to read and write — it restores dignity, confidence, and purpose. When a child is given the chance to learn, they begin to believe in themselves again.

Our Mission: Educating Street Children
At Street Kids Uganda, we are committed to rescuing children from the streets and giving them access to quality education. We work closely with schools, communities, and caregivers to ensure every child has the opportunity to learn.
Our education support includes:
- School enrollment and tuition fees
- Uniforms, shoes, and school supplies
- Bridge classes for children who missed school
- Vocational training for older children
- Counseling and mentorship
